New Publication: Being 'Choosy' in Teaching Statistics with Big Data

We are pleased to announce our latest publication, which explores strategies for making large datasets manageable and pedagogically generative for K-12 educators. Published in December 2025, Being ‘Choosy’ in Teaching Statistics with Big Data provides a systematic approach for curriculum developers to downsample and structure public datasets so that they align with GAISE II data literacy standards.

The paper outlines a reduction pipeline that simplifies data wrangling for students and teachers without removing the complexity required for authentic, data-driven classroom discovery.
